Workers are busy processing and producing convenient fast cooked chicken in the workshop of Hunan Jin’gaga Agricultural Development Company located in the Xiangxi National Agricultural Science and Technology Park in Hunan Province. The head of the company said that more than 6,000 native chickens are processed and produced here every day, and sold directly from Huayuan to various parts of the country.
“Our chickens are all raised and slaughtered in Chongqing, and then transported to Huayuan for processing,” said Jiang Lijun, deputy general manager of Hunan Jin’gaga Agricultural Development Company. In the future, the company plans to build a standardized breeding farm in Huayuan, providing farmers with baby chicks for breeding and then purchasing back the adult chickens from them to further help farmers increase their income.
“This product of our company is called ‘Shibadong Native Chicken’, which is sold across the country offline and online, even as far away as Xinjiang, and Tibet. It is planned to produce 1,500 tons of cooked chicken in 2024, and the output value is expected to reach 60 million yuan,” said Jiang Lijun.
Hunan Jin’gaga Agricultural Development Company is a food enterprise that integrates the breeding, slaughtering, and processing of poultry. The company was introduced into the agricultural park through investment promotion in 2021. At present, the project has been put into operation and can process more than 6,000 spicy, braised, and salt baked cooked chicken per day.
The company plans to further expand its production scale and improve the native chicken slaughtering base in Shuangping Village of Longtan Town, which is expected to be put into use before December 2024.
